During an artist residency in Marseille (2025), the idea arose to build a lighthouse for Innsbruck in order to initiate a multifaceted interplay of meanings between the two locations. With the impending closure of the Offspace Reich für die Insel, the lighthouse became a symbol of resistance for the city’s independent cultural scene. These ideas are further developed in eight short comics.
The work was part of the group exhibition Marseille Temporary at Reich für die Insel, Innsbruck, 2025 and also published in Spross Magazine, Edition Dostal 2026.
