"The return of the wolves to the alpine area" is the title of the scientific work of geographer Verena Schröder, who did extensive research on the dynamic relationships between humans, animals and the surrounding in the Swiss Calanda region since the first wolf settled there around 2010. Her well-received paper in her eyes hardly managed to communicate an essential aspect of the topic, the atmosphere, emotions and non-verbal aspects. Therefore she asked to transform her research into a short comic.
It was then animated by Stefan Holaus and displayed at Kunstraum Innsbruck as part of the 2020 exhibiton "Co-Habitation. Space for all Species".
